How to take part ...

ARE you a former resident of Accrington who has moved abroad and who wants to get back in touch with people still living in the town? Do you know of friends or family who have moved overseas and you want to try and track them down? Well here's your chance ...

In this new section, we're giving an opportunity for people who were parted when locals decided to make new lives overseas to make contact once again.

If you are an ex-pat, who wants to know the whereabouts of a pal or relative, send us the details and we'll post them up here. The same is true of locals - let us know if you want to get back in touch with a local who has left these shores. You never know - they might just visit this site, read your message and you could be reunited.

Alternatively, ex-pats can write to us simply if they want to let the folks back home know what they've been up to, how life overseas is treating them, and what they miss about Accrington.

   I am looking for my Mum's friend. Her name is Norma Varley - at least it was until she married some time in the late 70s (best guess). She lived on Lima Street in Accrington. Mum was born in 1935 so I am guessing that Norma would be in her early seventies. If anyone can help put her in touch with me. I am trying to find out more about my mother when she was younger and I am hoping Norma will be able to help me. I know they were best friends in the mid 50s.

   Hi, I'm trying to find the address of my ex husband, Michael Mcgin . We lived in Fountain Street Accrington in the 1970's and worked at Platt International. I know Michael had a cousin called Graham Whelan. I have some Family photos that I would like to return to him if possible.
