WRAF veteran Mrs Margaret Holmes, of Church View Nursing Home in Accrington, died at Royal Blackburn Hospital on February 26, aged 88.

Mrs Holmes served in the Women's Royal Air Force during the Second World War and went on to work in a number of different accounting roles.
