what a shock to hear that a friend of 52 years had died. charlie and I were courting two sisters and hit it off immediatly. I used to love the way he spoke in the old lancashire dialect and his love for the enviroment around him. My condolences to his daughter julie and family. goodbye old friend and I am sure you will meet up once again with bessie the love of your life. ronnie culshaw

I worked with Charlie as a an apprentice toolmaker, and for several years as a time served toolmaker. Charlie was one of the best. I wish his family my best regards.
