Andrew Czocher

A MAN known for pushing his dog in a pram around the streets of Accrington has died.
Former foam production worker Mr Andrew Czocher died at Wellfield Nursing Home, Accrington, aged 89.
Mr Czocher, of St Leger Court, Accrington, arrived in Scotland in 1945 from Poland.
He moved to Haslingden looking for work before finally settling in Accrington and adopting a baby daughter at 49 years old.
He worked at Caligen Foam, Accrington.
Mr Czocher was a keen gardener and loved being around animals.
Tragically, two years ago youths set a pit bull terrier on his trusted animal companion, killing his little dog.
He had been a loyal member of St Anne’s RC Church, Accring-ton, for the past 40 years.
Grandfather of the late Gabrielle, he leaves his daughter Tina, son-in-law Richard and grandchildren Samara and Fraser.
He will be buried at Accrington Cemetery on Tuesday after Requiem Mass the previous evening,
The Mass will be celebrated by Father Seamus Quigley at St Anne’s Church, Accrington.
