Anne Steele

FORMER tailoress Mrs Anne Steele of Wensley Drive, Accrington, has died at her home, aged 77.
Mrs Steele is due to be cremated at Accrington on Monday following a service conducted by the Rev John Taylor.
She started her career as a tailoress at the old Co-op tailors where she worked for several years. She then went to work at Broad Oak Printworks in the engraving department.
Mrs Steele, who was a keen dancer and scooter rider, was a member of Eagle Street Senior Citizens’ Centre, Accrington. She also enjoyed holidays and days out shopping.
A member of St Augustine’s Church, Huncoat, she leaves her husband Ron, daughter Susan and sister Sally. She was also the sister of the late Harry.
