Doris Rawcliffe

FORMER Age Concern volunteer Mrs Doris May Rawcliffe has died in the Royal Preston Hospital aged 85.
Mrs Rawcliffe, of King Abbot Rest Home, Penwortham, and formerly of Milnshaw Gardens, Accrington, used to work as a licensee until her retirement in 1978-9.
She served with the WAAF during the war and was a very sociable lady.
The wife of the late Bernard, she leaves sons Alan and Keith and daughters Bernadette and Sandra. She was also the mother-in-law of Susan, Jeanne, John and Stephen, a grandma and a great-grandma.
Father Lawrence Carson-Featham will conduct the funeral at Accrington Crematorium today (Friday).
