Margaret Buckel

FULL-time housewife and mother-of-eight, Mrs Margaret Mary Buckel has died in Spring Hill Care Home, Accrington, aged 81.
The wife of the late Arthur, she lived in Cobham Road, Accrington, for many years.
She was a lifelong member of St Anne’s RC Church, Accrington, a member of St Anne’s Ladies, the 109 Loyola Scout Committee and the Walsingham Association.
She enjoyed knitting, sewing, reading, days out and picnics with the family and spending time with her grandchildren.
As a young lady she went to college and trained to be a tailoress and dressmaker and went on to make all the family’s clothing. She also went to college evening class to learn German.
She leaves children Geoffrey, Terence, Christopher, Francis, Margaret, Gerard, Andrew and Jonathon, grandchildren, great grandchildren and a sister.
She was due to be buried at Accrington yesterday following a service at St Paul’s Church, Accrington, conducted by Father Seamus Quigley.
