Carol Hartley

A SWEET-maker with Stockley’s for over 30 years, Mrs Carol Hartley, has died in the Royal Blackburn Hospital aged 60.
Mrs Hartley, of Russia Street, Accrington, did the job from leaving school to taking early retirement due to ill health.
She was a Saturday lunchtime regular at the Stop and Rest pub in Oswaldtwistle.
A former member of Sacred Heart RC Church, Accrington, she enjoyed watching soaps and listening to the radio.
The wife of the late Eric, she leaves a brother Geoffrey, sister Edwina, nephew Christopher and niece Angela.
Father Roger Parker conducted the funeral at Accrington Crematorium on Wednesday.
