Hilda Holland

ANIMAL lover Mrs Hilda Holland has died in the Royal Blackburn Hospital at the age of 75.

Mrs Holland, of Stanley Street, Oswaldtwistle, was a member of the Cat Protection League and the RSPCA.

She loved her cats and dogs and grew her own vegetables on an allotment.

A lover of the great outdoors, she was a keen walker and also enjoyed reading and, when she was younger, sewing.

She worked as a winder at Three Brooks Mill for many years, and attended Holy Trinity and New Lane Baptist Churches.

She leaves her husband John, son John, daughter Susan and grandsons Jason and Paul.

The funeral will take place at Accrington Crematorium today (Friday).
