Harold Staff

ONE of the oldest and longest-serving members of Accrington’s Globe Bowling Club, Mr Harold Staff, has died at his home in Balmoral Road, Accrington, aged 88.
He worked as a development engineer for Howard and Bullough for over 40 years until the late 1970s.
Mr Staff enjoyed holidays abroad, gardening, calligraphy and wood-carving.
The husband of the late Irene, he leaves children Sue and Kath, sons-in-law Jim and Chris, grandchildren Zoe and Ben and brother Alick.
The Rev Neil Hepworth conducted the funeral at Accrington Crematorium on Wednesday.
