Irene Inman

MRS Irene Inman of Victor Street, Clayton-le-Moors, has died in the Royal Blackburn Hospital at the age of 88.
The wife of the late Ronald, she worked at Catlow’s fruit shop after leaving school and went on to work in munitions during the war. She then worked for Provident Insurance as a collector but was forced to retire due to ill health.
She enjoyed her days at Woodhaven day care centre until ill health prevented her from attending in January.
She leaves children Keith, Carole and Garry and was a grandma and great-grandma.
A former Methodist church member, she enjoyed holidays in Blackpool, caravanning, knitting, baking and dancing.
She will be cremated at Accrington on Tuesday 24 June following a service conducted by the Rev Ken Fitzsimmons.
