Derek Bamber

CAT lover Mr Derek Bamber of Riding Barn Street, Church, has died aged 68 in the Royal Blackburn Hospital.
The partner of Linda, he drove for Bowkers Transport, Blackburn, for a number of years up to being involved in a serious accident. After this he did casual work and helped family and friends.
His hobbies included horse racing, Formula 1 racing, visiting zoos and country park, watching animal documentaries on TV and loved cats, always having one as a pet.
He was the father of Jackie, and leaves sister Jean and was a brother-in-law and uncle.
Mr Bamber is due to be cremated at Accrington on Friday 27 June following a service conducted by the Rev Ken Fitzsimmons.
