Ronald Devereux

A MAN who worked for Robinson’s Coaches in Great Harwood for 47 years has died aged 79 at his home in Allsprings Drive, Great Harwood.
Mr Ronald Devereux, who was general manager with the company, was the husband of the late Evelyn.
He retired when he was 65 but returned to work for Robinson’s to take charge of passenger transfers and finally retired five years ago when he had a stroke following the death of his wife.
A past chairman and president of Guide Conservative Club, he was a devoted family man whose interests included gardening and photography.
He leaves children Ron, Alan, Barry, Evelyn, Neil and Lynne, grandchildren Karl, Jason, Mark, Martin, Ian, Pennie, Susan, Robyn, James and Karen and great grandchildren Danielle, Jordan, Chloe and Becca.
He was due to be cremated at Accrington on Thursday 26 June following a service conducted by Mrs Denise Sheriff of St Bartholomew’s Church, Great Harwood.
