Elizabeth Dotson

FORMER weaver Mrs Elizabeth (Betty) Dotson has died in the Royal Blackburn Hospital aged 92.
Mrs Dotson, of Barnfold Cottage, West End, Oswaldtwistle, and formerly of Margaret Street, Oswaldtwistle, worked at Sewe and Sewe for many years.
She enjoyed many happy holidays in the Isle of Wight with her late husband Clifton – they had been going there since 1949.
Although she had no children of her own, she was made an honorary member of Immanuel Church’s Mothers’ Union and made teas at the cricket ground.
She leaves a brother William and nephews Bernard, Derek, Stuart and David and their families.
Canon Michael Ratcliffe will conduct the funeral at Accrington Crematorium on Tuesday 5 August.
