A MAN who was on the verge of a new life in Barcelona has died at his home in Annie Street, Accrington, at the age of 42.
Mr Martin Ward, a production planner and buyer at Hilden Textiles, was in the final stages of a change in career. He was due to move to Spain in the next month or two and was busy with an intensive course in Spanish.
He was an avid Manchester City fan, both at home and away, and enjoyed his visits to other countries to support the team with many of his friends.
Also keen on cricket and music, he was the son of Dorothy and Peter Ward and leaves a sister Sandra.
He was due to be cremated at Accrington on Friday 29 August following a service conducted by Mr Eddie Joyce.
