Arthur Moss

RETIRED farmer Mr Arthur Moss has died in Greycroft Residential Home, Accrington, aged 93.

Mr Moss had spells working for Haslingden Council’s parks department and Holland’s Pies before retiring to Sherfin Farm in Rising Bridge.

As well as farming, he enjoyed gardening and growing vegetables on his allotment.

He had connections with Dial-a-Ride and Harvey Street Club in Oswaldtwistle, and was a member of the Church of England in his younger days.

The husband of the late Alice Moss and the late Ruth Moss, he leaves children Margaret, George, Dinah and John, daughter-in-law Pat, 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

He was buried at Stonefold Church on Friday 5 September following a service conducted by Father Lawrence Carson-Featham.
