David Staff

A BLACKBURN Rovers season ticket holder for over 20 years, Mr David John Staff, has died in the East Lancashire Hospice at the age of 55.
Mr Staff, of Durham Drive, Oswaldtwistle, played darts and dominoes for the Kings Arms, the Arden Inn and the Queens, all Accrington, and for many years was a member of Willow Mount Club.
A sewing machine mechanic for 14 years at the Hilden Manufacturing Company, he leaves his partner Jean and grandchildren Halle and Hayden.
He was the son of the late Albert and Blitha, brother of Maureen and the late Clare, brother-in-law of Peter and uncle of Craig, Gillian and Chris.
He will be cremated at Accrington on Monday 22 September following a service at St Paul’s Church, Oswaldtwistle, conducted by Canon Michael Ratcliffe.
