Thomas Beard

FORMER transport worker Mr Thomas Beard, formerly of Entwisle Road, Accrington, has died at Wellfield Care Home, Accrington, aged 88.
Mr Beard, known as Tom, had worked in transport all his life and enjoyed walking, holidays and music.
He was the husband of the late Amy and leaves sons John and Steven, daughter Anita, his partner of over 20 years, Jeanne, sister Marion, grandchildren Karl, Nicholas, Emma and Matthew, and great-grandchildren Jack and Lucy.
A funeral service was held at St Mary Magdalen’s Church, Accrington, conducted by Father Lawrence Featham-Carson, followed by cremation at Accrington.
