Joan Allan

A WOMAN who specialised in learning about American Indian culture, Mrs Joan Allan, has died at the Royal Blackburn Hospital aged 84.
Mrs Allan, who lived in Church View Residential Home, Oswaldtwistle, was the daughter of the late Edward and Alice Rich.
Mrs Allan had many friends in Church View and told many stories relating to her interest in American Indian culture.
She was buried at Accrington Cemetery on Thursday after a service conducted by the Rev Michael Ratcliffe.
