Mildred Weaver

A WEAVER for many years at the former Stanhill Ring Mill, West End, Oswaldtwistle, has died age 95.

Mrs Mildred Weaver, who died at her home in Lancaster Avenue, Accrington, was the wife of the late John Carey and the late Samuel Weaver.

In her younger days she loved ballroom dancing with her husbands and enjoyed knitting for family and friends.

A member of Whalley Road United Reformed Church, Accrington, she leaves a niece Carol and her husband Leonard, and was great-aunt of Jackie, Daniel, Chris and Emma and great-great-aunt of Declan, Jayden and Tom.

She was cremated at Accrington on Thursday 9 October following a service conducted by the Rev Sandy Mailer.
