Catherine Thomson

MRS Catherine McLean Thomson, formerly of Norfolk Grove, Church, has died in Woodlands Care Home, Clayton-le-Moors, at the age of 80.
She and her late husband Andrew moved from Bellshill in Scotland to Taunton, Somerset, before finally settling in Accrington in 1963.
Mrs Thomson, who was wages clerk at Rists Wires and Cables, Accrington, leaves daughters Shona, Aileen and Elizabeth, sons-in-law David and Steve and granddaughter Lauren, who inherited her love of reading from her gran.
Mrs Thomson used to go to King Street WMC with her husband.
She was cremated at Accrington on Thursday 16 October following a service conducted by the Rev John Tranter.
