FORMER cotton weaver Mrs May Heys has died in the Royal Blackburn Hospital aged 87.
Mrs Heys, formerly of Elmfield Street and Park View, Church, worked for a while at Moscow Mill in Oswaldtwistle.
She was a member of Platt’s Social Club and Pioneer WMC.
She enjoyed dancing, bingo and baking pies and cakes.
She enjoyed many holidays and had many friends in Accrington.
The wife of the late Benjamin and the late Edward, she leaves children Glenis, Kenneth and Stephen, sons-in-law and daughters-in-law Christine, John, Monica and Frank, grandchildren Lee, Ashley, Deborah, Michele, Darren and Amy, great-grandchildren Andrew and Joseph and a sister Gladys.
The Rev Michael Ratcliffe conducted the funeral at Accrington Crematorium on Wednesday 29 October.
