Brian Riley

A CHIEF technician in the RAF for 25 years, Mr Brian Riley, has died aged 72 at his home in Juniper Court, Huncoat.

The husband of Anne, he served his apprenticeship at Mullards where he stayed for five years before joining the RAF. He had various postings both overseas and in the UK, including Nairobi, the Maldives and three postings to Cyprus.

A keen golfer, he was a member at both Accrington and Green Haworth and was also a keen artist, painting many oils and watercolours. He was an avid reader with a keen interest in Egyptology.

He also leaves children Susan, Janet, Wayne and Alison, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and was the brother of Ian and Jean and brother-in-law of Judith. He was also a father-in-law..

He is due to be cremated at Accrington on Tuesday following a service conducted by the Rev Sandy Mailer.
