Geoffrey Dunn

ANIMAL lover Mr Geoffrey Dunn, known as Geoff, has died aged 65 in the Royal Blackburn Hospital.
The husband of Joan, he lived in Haywood Road, Accrington.
He started his working life at Nori Brickworks, Accrington, where he stayed for several years before moving to Stanhill Mill, Oswaldtwistle, as a general operative for a short time.
He then learned the skill of bricklaying and became self-employed, eventually working for John Jordan building contractor as general foreman for several years.
A member of Willow Mount WMC, he enjoyed local history, reading, holidaying with his children in the UK and walking his dog Lucy.
He also leaves daughters Janet, June and Jennifer, grandchildren David, Jenna, Kylie and Adam, sisters Joan and Ida, and brothers Henry and Billy. He was the brother of the late Nellie and the late Sheila. He was also an uncle and brother-in-law.
He was cremated at Accrington on Wednesday following a humanist service conducted by Mr Edward Joyce.
