TIRELESS community worker Mr Alan Pearson, of Lion Street, Church, has died at the Royal Blackburn Hospital aged 70.
Mr Pearson was well known around Church and worked tirelessly for the area in which he grew up.
He spent much of his working life at Howard and Bullough and Platts .
He was a family man who enjoyed his holidays with his wife and grandchildren.
He leaves his wife Patricia, who he was married to for almost 48 years, sons Tony and Andrew, grandchildren Christopher, Daniel, Charlotte and Robert and also brother Brian and sister Irene. He was also father-in-law to Bev and Fiona and brother-in-law and uncle to many.
His funeral is today (Friday) when Father Martin Saunders conducts a service at St Joseph’s Church, Accrington, at 9.30am followed by burial at Dill Hall. Family flowers only but donations welcome to MacMillan Nurses.
