Winifred Dickson

FORMER shopkeeper Mrs Winifred Dickson has died in Queen's Park Hospital, Blackburn, aged 83.
Mrs Dickson, of Queens Road West, Accrington, owned a traditional corner shop in Church Lane, Clayton-le-Moors, for 18 years.
She enjoyed baking, reading and completing crosswords, as well as going out for meals with her family.
Mrs Dickson also donated a lot of her craftwork to charity.
The wife of the late Robert Dickson, she leaves her son, John, two daughters Anne and Christine, daughter-in-law Diane, son-in-laws David and Neal, grandchildren Michael, Philip, James, Catherine, Rebecca, Elizabeth and Alistair, and four great-grandchildren.
Father Joe Feeley conducted a Requiem Mass at St Mary's Church, Clayton-le-Moors, yesterday, followed by cremation at Accrington.
