Richard Hesketh

A FORMER vice-president of the Brooks Club, Accrington, Mr Richard (Ricky) Hesketh, has died at his home in Ascot Way, Accrington, aged 58.
Mr Hesketh worked as a machine operative at Senator International, Altham, for the the past few years after 20 years as despatch manager at the Church Paint and Varnish Company, Huncoat.
He was also a member of the Canine Club in Accrington. He enjoyed holidays in Malta with his wife Joyce, where they made many friends, and going to his caravan at weekends.
He also enjoyed socialising at clubs and snooker. He was an ardent supporter of Burnley FC and in his younger days used to follow them on their travels.
He also leaves a son Paul, daughter Toni, daughter-in-law Jacky, son-in-law Patrick, grandchildren Andrew, Shane and Connor, and mother-in-law Irene.
The Rev Simon Mansfield conducted a service in the Accrington Cemetery Chapel yesterday before burial.
