Hannah Southworth

AN ENROLLED nurse for more than 20 years, Mrs Hannah Southworth, has died aged 85 in the Royal Blackburn Hospital.

Mrs Southworth, of Henley House, and formerly of Buxton Street, Accrington, previously worked at Accrington Victoria Hospital and Queen's Park Hospital, Blackburn.

She was also formerly employed at Cocker Chemicals and was a member of Sacred Heart and St Joseph's RC Churches.

Mrs Southworth enjoyed reading, music and gardening.

The wife of the late Thomas, she leaves children Catherine and Brian, grandchildren Laura and Louise, sons-in-law Malcolm and Steve, a daughter-in-law Louise and a sister Catherine.

She was also a special friend of Rosemary.

Cremation will take place at Accrington today following a service at St Joseph's conducted by Father Martin Saunders.
