9am to 1pm — World’s Biggest Coffee Morning at Kleeneze, Clayton-le-Moors business park. Raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support..
10am to 12 noon — World’s Biggest Coffee Morning at Clayton Park Conference Centre.
10am to 12 noon — Age Concern social club at New Era, Paradise Street, Accrington.
11am to 2pm — Over-50s luncheon club at Oswaldtwistle Youth and Community Centre, Harvey Street. First time free, otherwise £2.
7pm to 9.30pm — Sequence dancing at Eagle Street Senior Citizens’ Centre. Admission is £1 and includes tea and biscuits.
7pm — Potato pie supper fund-raiser at Enfield Cricket Club for Rochdale Dog Rescue. For more information contact Glencoe Kennels on 261446. Admission is £3 and includes raffle and disco.
7.30pm — Bag a Bag night at Peel Park Hotel, Turkey Street, Accrington. Fund-raiser for breast cancer charity.
7.45pm — Accrington Camera Club meeting at Rishton Primetime.
SATURDAY
10am to 12 noon — Eco-school work day at St Mary’s Primary School, Oswaldtwistle.
10am to 4pm — Great Harwood Pram Race fund-raiser at Cross Axes car park. Charity car wash with cleaners in skimpy outfits.
10.30am to 4pm — Scarecrow festival at St Andrew’s Church, Swiss Street, Accrington. Entrance is £1 or 50p for children and includes refreshments. (Also Sunday 12 noon to 4pm).
7.30pm — Northern Soul night at Brooks Club, Infant Street, Accrington. Fund-raiser for Ronald McDonald House at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital and Madison Kennedy-Finglas.
SUNDAY
9.30am — Hyndburn Ramblers’ 10-mile walk around Dean Clough. Meet at Plantation Street car park. All welcome.
11am to 2pm — Family fun day at St Anne’s and St Joseph’s RC Primary School, Sandy Lane, Accrington. Events include donkey ride, hair and beauty studio, craft room, family cafe, tombola, treasure hunt and outdoor games.
2.30pm — Accrington Naturalists and Antiquarians Society meeting at Antley Methodist Church Hall, Blackburn Road, Accrington. Presentation on Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly by Stuart and Anita Kellington. Admission is £1.
7.30pm — The Rat Pack in Las Vegas at Oswaldtwistle Civic Theatre. Tickets £15.
8pm — Sequence and ballroom dancing at Oswaldtwistle Social Club, Rhyddings Street.
MONDAY
6pm to 7pm and 7pm to 9pm — Hyndburn Youth Theatre sessions at Accrington Town Hall. Children aged seven to 10 meet at the early session and children aged 11 to 16 meet later.
TUESDAY
10am to 12.30pm — Coffee and a chat at Rhyddings Methodist Church, Oswaldtwistle.
10am to 12 noon — Free computer classes at New Era, Paradise Street, Accrington. (Also run Wednesday from 5pm to 7pm, and Thursday 10am to 12 noon and 12.30pm to 2pm).
1.30pm to 4pm — Sequence dancing at Eagle Street Senior Citizens’ Centre. Admission is £1 and includes tea and biscuits.
7pm to 9pm — Baxenden Area Council meeting at St John’s Primary School. All villagers welcome.
WEDNESDAY
10am — Accrington Naturalists and Antiquarians Society members meet at Peel Street Bus Station to catch 10.06am bus to Manchester for visit to Lowry Gallery and War Museum. Meet at "O’’ bus stand.
10am, 12.30pm and 2.30pm — Meetings at Central Methodist Church, Great Harwood, to discuss new health centre.
1.30pm to 3pm — St Paul’s mother and toddler group meeting at the Institute, Barnfield Street, Accrington.
1.30pm to 4pm — Age Concern tea dance at Accrington Town Hall.
8pm — East Lancashire Parachute Regimental Association meeting at Bold Street Club, Accrington.
THURSDAY
9.30am to 11am — Mother and toddler group at Whalley Road United Reformed Church, Accrington. Admission is £1.20 per family.
5pm to 7pm - Children’s Retreat — Hands To Praise Kidz Klub event at Christ Church, Cannon Street, Accrington.
7pm to 9pm — Peel and Barnfield Area Council at Accrington Town Hall.
7pm — Lancashire Miscarriage Support Group meeting at Holy Trinity Church, New Lane, Oswaldtwistle.
7.30pm — Hyndburn Local History Society 40th anniversary meeting at Accrington Library, St James’ Street. Admission for non-members £2.50.
