Cases heard at Blackburn Magistrates Court:

  • Paul John Rivas, 45, of Buxton Street, Accrington, pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly in a public place. He was fined £35 and ordered to pay a £150 criminal courts charge.
  • Jabar Hussain Sharif, 35, of Blackburn Road, Great Harwood, pleaded guilty to stealing a car. He was ordered to pay £500 compensation.
  • Lorraine Brown, 27, of Walmsley Street, Great Harwood, was found guilty in her absence of using a television without a licence. She was fined £220, ordered to pay £120 costs and a £150 criminal courts charge.
  • Emma De-Rosa, 24, of Fern Gore Avenue, Accrington, was found guilty in her absence of using a television without a licence. She was fined £220 and ordered to pay £120 costs.
  • Laura Edwards, 21, of Belfield Road,Accrington, was found guilty in her absence of using a television without a licence. She was fined £220 and ordered to pay £120 costs.
  • Dawn Etherington, 44, of Cliff Street, Rishton, was found guilty in her absence of using a television without a licence. She was fined £220 and ordered to pay £120 costs.
  • Melissa Goode, 33, of Glebe Street, Great Harwood, was found guilty in her absence of using a television without a licence. She was fined £220 and ordered to pay £120 costs.
  • Alison Ridsdale, 29, of Edward Street, Rishton, pleaded guilty to using a television without a licence. She was fined £20 and ordered to pay £120 costs.
  • Vanessa Thistleton, 30, of Duke Street, Clayton-le-Moors, was found guilty in her absence of using a television without a licence. She was fined £220 and ordered to pay £120 costs.
  • Dane Beech, 27, of Tunstall Drive, Accrington, was found guilty in his absence of two counts of travelling on a railway without paying the fare. He was fined £880 and ordered to pay £11.40 compensation.
  • Rebecca Bullock, 27, of Lee Street, Accrington, was found guilty in her absence of travelling on a railway without paying the fare. She was fined £440, ordered to pay £8.40 compensation, £150 costs and a £150 criminal courts charge.
  • Thomas Heaney, 25, of Higher Antley Street, Accrington, was found guilty in his absence of entering a train for the purpose of travelling without having a valid ticket. He was fined £60, ordered to pay £7.70 compensation, £150 costs and a £150 criminal courts charge.
  • Luke Antony Wilkinson, 28, of Havelock Street, Oswaldtwistle, pleaded guilty to failing to comply with the requirements of a community order. He was fined £230, ordered to pay £50 costs and given a new 12-month community order with a 20-day rehabilitation activity requirement.
  • Stephen Ryan Cairney, 23, of Exchange Street, Accrington, pleaded guilty to criminal damage. He was given a 12-month conditional discharge, a six-month restraining order, ordered to pay £170 compensation, £85 costs and a £150 criminal courts charge.
  • Zafar Iqbal Walmsley Khan, 22, of Clement Street, Accrington, pleaded guilty to failing to comply with the community requirement of a suspended sentence order. He was given a 12-week jail term suspended for 12 months.
