X Factor finalists are set to perform in Hyndburn in front of a packed 350-strong crowd.

Singer and songwriter Sam Callahan and boyband Kingsland Road will appear at Oswaldtwistle Civic Theatre next week.

Both acts made it through to the live finals of last years X Factor and have recently taken part in the shows live tour.

They will be joined at the Civic Theatre by Accrington musician Reece Bibby who hit the headlines last year after performing an impromptu gig with former Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher.

The 15-year-old said: “It’s certainly one of the biggest names I’ll have performed with and one of the biggest gigs I’ve done in Lancashire.

“It will be good to play on home soil and show them what I can do as I have done a lot of gigs in London. I can’t wait for it.”

Kerry Smith, of Hyndburn Leisure,  said it will be a ‘really great night’ and follows on from last years X Factor show featuring 2012 finalists District 3 and Union J.

She said: “We are expecting about 350 people. It will be full of teenage girls so anybody else coming will be extremely brave.

“That’s what it was last time so I expect the same again. Last years was brilliant so hopefully it should be in the same vein.

“We ran an X Factor show last year and it was really popular and sold out.

“We decided we would do the same again this year and booked them more or less straight after the last X Factor series.”

Kerry said they were delighted to have Reece take part in this years show and there will be a competition on the night to ‘meet and greet’ the artists.

She said: “Reece is a local lad and he’s very popular in the area.

“We thought it would be a  nice opportunity to perform in a professional show and he can make contact with the other people. It was a win-win for us.

“Reece writes a lot of his own music and will be doing covers as well so it should go down great with the crowd.”

The show will take place on Saturday, May 24 at 7pm and tickets cost £15.

The Civic Theatre will also play host to stand-up comedian Roy Chubby Brown on July 3 and 4 and  the shows will also be filmed for his upcoming DVD.
