Slimmers joked with TV funnyman Paddy McGuinness at an awards ceremony.

The Take Me Out star met Maggie Lloyd, who manages several Slimming World groups in Hyndburn, at the Birmingham International Convention Centre award ceremony.

The awards honoured slimmers for their work over the past year.

Speaking at the ceremony Paddy said: “I was genuinely amazed to hear about what a difference people like Maggie make.

“Before I started working in comedy I was a fitness instructor so I know how important it is to look after yourself.”

Maggie added: “We’re so proud of all of our members. I can’t wait to see what 2014 holds.”
