A car collided with traffic lights close to Hyndburn Fire Station in Accrington over the weekend.

Firefighters and police attended a road collision in the early hours of Sunday morning in Accrington.

The collision occurred at 2.10am near Hyndburn Fire Station on Hyndburn Road in Accrington.

Police said a silver Vauxhall Astra veered off the road and hit a traffic light post.

N A 31-year-old from Blackburn was arrested suspicion of drink driving but has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
