Celebrity Big Brother launched with a raft of new stars entering the reality TV house - alongside a host of “all stars” making a return to the flamboyant show to mark its 20th series.

It was certainly a colourful live launch show on Tuesday night - thanks to the Pop Art theme of this year’s show, with comic-book graphics and a flashing staircase greeting celebrities as they did their walk into the Big Brother house.

There was the promise of an “explosive start” to proceedings by bringing together former housemates with a collection of new stars.

And that started within minutes of the new show - when returning "all stars" Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag, Strictly Come Dancing star James Jordan, model Austin Armacost, Loose Women star Coleen Nolan, glamour girl Nicola McLean, playboy Calum Best and actress Jasmine Waltz were ushered into a side room in the house to become “the producers” of the show, who would watch the “new stars” arriving and decide who should be “edited out” as the least entertaining housemates.

Although the highlight of the night was the look on Calum's face - when his MOTHER Angie was the final housemate to enter the house.

His jaw dropped as he said: "Is that my mother? That’s my mother! Oh my god. Oh bless her! But shoot me now."

Here’s the full run-down of who entered the house on Tuesdy night in the order they arrived, and what they had to say...

1) Speidi (all stars)

American reality TV show stars Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag, aka Speidi, didn’t make too many friends when they appeared on the show in 2013. But this time they say they’re in the house “to win”.

Upon entering the house on Tuesday Heidi said: “You thought we played the game well last time,..” before Spencer added: “Well you haven’t seen anything yet.”

2) James Jordan (all star)

Strictly Come Dancing star James Jordan is never short of an opinion - and he’s geared up for plenty of feisty debate heading back into the house.

He said: “I’m really really excited to go back into the Big Brother house. Make it difficult for us... I love it when people argue, I think it’s funny. I didn’t sign up for a dancing show, I signed up to wind people up.”

3) Jasmine Waltz (all star)

Hollywood actress and model was involved in plenty of racy behaviour when she appeared in the 2014 series, including plenty of stripping off, pole dancing and smooching up to fellow housemates. And it sounds like we can expect more of the same.

Entering the house wearing cute pussycat ears, she said: “Last time I was involved in a ridiculous love triangle with Casey Batchelor and Lee Ryan.... This time you get to watch me make the same mistakes again I’m sure.”

4) Ray J (new star)

Music and reality TV star Ray J admits he is probably best known for a certain, ahem, adult tape he made with his then girlfriend Kim Kardashian back in 2003. But he’s also the cousin of Snoop Dogg and brother of music star Brandy. He seemed to be a hit with the crowds on his way in - getting huge cheers.

He said: “It’s for me to step up to the plate and hit the home run. Anyone who gets in my way? Duck.”

5) Bianca Gascoigne (new star)

Model and daughter of legendary footballer Paul Gascoigne worked the crowds on the way in, and wowed show host Emma Willis with her crown of spikes in her flowing blonde locks.

She said: “I’m definitely a go hard or go home kind of girl.”

6) Austin Armacost (all star)

Runner-up in the 2015 Celebrity Big Brother, American model Austin enjoyed a bromance with Apprentice star James Hill last time around.

He’s just broken up with his husband of nine years, so he sounds like he’s single and ready to mingle this time around.

He said: “You can expect honestly, truthfulness and most of all, don’t cross me.”

7) Coleen Nolan (all star)

Wilmslow-based Loose Women star and Nolan Sister Coleen was runner-up in Celebrity Big Brother's tenth series, but admits she wishes she'd stood up to her nemesis, former Corrie star Julie Goodyear, a bit more. So this time, we can expect Coleen to take NO prisoners.

She said: "I think it might be the house from hell.

"This time I will trust my intuition and smack that pie in their face."

8) James Cosmo (new star)

Scottish film and TV actor James is known for roles in Braveheart, Game of Thrones and Trainspotting among others.

He said: "I wouldn't say I'm scared about going into the house. One of the things that I'll miss is listening to Eminem.

"I'm in here for an experience, I hope I'm going to enjoy it and that's it. Game, set, match and nothing else."

9) Stacy Francis (new star)

X Factor USA finalist Stacy Francis famously had a fall out with singing legend Whitney Houston just two days before she died. And the argument was about Ray J. Yep, who is also in this year's CBB house.

She said: "I love you and I want you to love me back, come on!"

10) Brandon Block (new star)

Superstar DJ Brandon became a household name after his exploits at the Brit Awards in 2000.

Known as a party animal back in the day, he said: "I'm a little baby tiger now.

"I want to get in there, have a laugh and a month away from mobile phones."

11) Nicola McLean (all star)

Former glamour model Nicola made a big impact on her appearance in the show back in 2012 - clashing with many of her co-stars and particularly with former Loose Women star Denise Welch.

She said: “What I want, I get. I’m just good TV."

12) Jamie O'Hara (new star)

Former Tottenham Hotspur player Jamie is also well known for marrying beauty queen Danielle Lloyd.

He said: "People have a massively wrong perception of me. I don't like to get mugged off."

13) Calum Best (all star)

The son of Manchester United legend George Best and model Angie Best, Calum was a big hit when he appeared on the show in, particularly when he stood up to US blogger Perez Hilton. Playboy Calum is known for being a bit of a ladies' man, and he admits he's single going into the house.

He said: "I'm really excited to be going back in, I'm smiling just thinking about it. It's great to be back."

14) Angie Best (new star)

Former wife of Manchester United legend George Best and mum of Calum - the former model says she she had kept it a secret from her beloved Calum that she was going in to the Celebrity Big Brother house.

She said: "It's dog eat dog, and I'm going to be dog. And I eat lots."
