A cyclist has suffered a broken leg after a collision with a van.

Police and fire crews were called to the junction of Victoria Street and Brown Street in Accrington at around 6pm on Wednesday, September 7, after being alerted by the ambulance service.

The cyclist was taken to Royal Blackburn Hospital for treatment.

Lancashire Police said the cyclist suffered a broken leg and his injuries are not life threatening.

No arrests have been made.
