An Oswaldtwistle company has recognised one of its employees for racking up an astonishing 50 years of service.

Kevin Duckett has spent five decades working for the Pneumatrol Ltd at the West End business park.

Kevin started working at RGS Ltd. the company’s previous name, in August 1965, as a 15-year-old apprentice.

During his time, a number of other members of the Duckett family have worked with him including his wife, Wendy, as well as Marie, Brian and Mark, who is still part of the team today.

The company said they are proud of their levels of staff retention, 11 employees have achieved 25 years of service with the business.

Jamie Dummer, managing director, said achieving 50 years of service is a very rare event.

He said: “Congratulations to Kevin on this occasion. Pneumatrol works hard to recruit people with the right attitude into the business and to then train and develop them, so they can grow with the business and fulfil their potential. I look forward to us seeing more long service awards in the future as a result of this approach”.

To recognise Kevin’s achievement, the company held a special buffet lunch for Kevin, to which many former as well as all current colleagues were invited. Kevin was presented with a dedicated plaque to record his long service.
