A four-year-old aspiring cameraman has made a Youtube video of the recent Accrington Christmas lights switch-on.

Little Zak Donnelly-Furber filmed the event from his perspective after sitting on his father Kevin Furber's shoulders.

The 2 minutes 25 second video shows the thousands of revellers packed into the town centre enjoying the shops, rides, food and decorations and also captures the amazing fireworks display.

His father Kevin Furber praised the video and said it was an 'enlightening experience'.

He said: “Zak and I went along with a small hand-held camera and I put him on my shoulders to see over the thousands of people there.

“I thought it was amazing. As soon as he saw Peppa Pig he was zooming in and I let him take me to places he was interested in and wanted to film.

“It was fascinating to walk round with him and see things from his perspective. It was also interesting to see the fireworks display from a smaller persons point of view.

“It was very cute and opened my eyes up as a dad. It was a great and enlightening experience for me.”

Mr Furber, who works for company Creative Talent management Ltd, praised the lights switch-on in Accrington and said it was one of the best he'd been to.

The 48-year-old, who lives in Hapton, said: “Accrington was a place I always used to go to when I was 18 or 19 and I'm an Accrington Stanley supporter so it's my town really more than Burnley.

“The night itself in Accrington was better than the one in Blackburn as it was more family-friendly.

“I was really impressed with everything that went on as I was not expecting it to be like that.

“It was nice to see the town be enthusiastic like that and to see so many people out.”
