Cases heard at Blackburn Magistrates Court:

  • Roy Aylward, 48, of Spring Hill Road, Accrington, pleaded guilty to shoplifting. He was given a 12-month conditional discharge order and ordered to pay £40 costs.
  • Kieran Michael Hartley, 18, of Woodside Road, Accrington, pleaded guilty to drink driving, driving without a licence, using a car without insurance, driving without due care and attention and failing to stop after an accident. He was given a 12-month community order with a 25-day rehabilitation activity requirement, fined £50, ordered to pay £40 costs and disqualified from driving for 14 months.
  • Kirsten Marie Fraser, 23, of Spring Hill Road, Accrington, pleaded guilty to shoplifting and while subject to a conditional discharge order. She was fined £40 and ordered to pay £5 compensation.
  • Ashley James Taylor, 30, of Union Road, Oswaldtwistle, pleaded guilty to criminal damage. He was given a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £50 compensation and £85 costs.
  • Bryan Martin Wilde, 45, of Commercial Street, Oswaldtwistle, pleaded guilty to drink driving. He was fined £120, ordered to pay £85 costs and disqualified from driving for 40 months, reduced by 40 weeks if he completes a course approved by the Secretary of State.
  • Glen Anthony Kennedy, 45, of Hood Street, Accrington, pleaded guilty to shoplifting. He was given a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £100 compensation.
  • Mohammed Sabir, 71, of Primrose Street, Accrington, was found guilty of failing to give information relating to the identification of a driver to police. He was fined £180, ordered to pay £200 costs and given six points on his driving licence.
  • Connor Yates, 22, of Albert Street, Clayton-le-Moors, pleaded guilty to failing to comply with the requirements of a community order. He was fined £50.
  • Charles George Wigglesworth, 33, of Washington Street, Accrington, pleaded guilty to assault by beating and criminal damage. He was given an 18-month community order with a six-month drug rehabilitation requirement, a 30-day rehabilitation activity requirement, an 18-month restraining order, fined £50 and ordered to pay £90 compensation and £200 costs.
  • Daniel Harper, 27, of Sun Street, Oswaldtwistle, pleaded guilty to driving without a licence, using a car without insurance, failing to stop when ordered by police, taking a car without the owner’s consent and shoplifting. He was given a 12-month community order with a six-week curfew requirement, a 15-day rehabilitation activity requirement, ordered to pay £300 compensation and £85 costs and disqualified from driving for 12 months.

  • Frank Dante, 48, of Barnmeadow Lane, Great Harwood, pleaded guilty to speeding. He was fined £40, ordered to pay £85 costs and given three points on his driving licence.
  • Mark Andrew Cornthwaite, 37, of Ramsbottom Street, Accrington, pleaded guilty to assault by beating. He was given a two-month community order with a curfew requirement and ordered to pay £250 costs.
