Organisers of the Accrington Carnival are delighted to have secured a major sponsor for the event.
Members of the Accrington Lions were delighted when the North Lancs Training Group (NLTG), based on Manchester Road, stepped in with £3,500 of funding.
Jim Harkness, managing director of NLTG, said: “It was back in 2005 when NLTG first got involved with supporting the carnival.
"It’s even more critical for us to support the carnival, the local community and the people of Hyndburn given lack of other sponsors involved. We look forward to a great day on June 13 with wonderful weather and hopefully putting smiles on people’s faces through their enjoyment of the carnival.”
Accrington Lion and carnival organiser Tracy Simmonds said: “A big thank you to North Lancs Training Group who have kindly offered £3,500 contribution towards the organisational costs of this year’s Community Carnival for the fourth year.
"Without the support of local businesses the carnival could not go ahead.”
