An art gallery is welcoming Pokemon Go users after it was listed as a Pokestop and gym.

Bosses at the Haworth Art Gallery in Accrington say if you want to ‘catch em all’ then head to the Haworth grounds to discover a wide range of Pokemon.

The augmented reality game - which is attracting millions of new players - involves finding virtual Pokemon characters in different real locations.

The latest must-have smartphone app is a twist on the classic Pokemon game.

The Haworth gallery on Manchester Road has been recently discovered as a place home to many Pokemon creatures, Pokestops and a gym where you can battle and train your Pokemon.

Yvonne Robins, gallery manager, said resident Pokémon experts Rachael Fielding and Liam Driver have been ‘out and about’ discovering the whereabouts of all the locations the creatures can be found. They have now produced an information sheet and map to help Pokemon Go gamers find what they are looking for.

She said: “We are thrilled that we are a hub for Pokémon and look forward to welcoming enthusiastic gamers from across the UK.”
