SOCCER ace David Dunn is back together with his actress girlfriend Sammy Winward after a four-month separation.
The pair, who are currently on holiday in the Med, called off their engagement in February, claiming pressure of work had taken its toll on their long-distance relationship.
Great Harwood-born David, 24, plays for Birmingham City, while Sammy, who plays Katie Sugden in ITV soap Emmerdale, is based in Bolton.
But the former Rovers midfielder's grandma this week confirmed that they were happily back together and said the family were delighted.
Alice Dunn, of Belmont Road, Great Harwood, said: "Their split didn't last very long and they kept in touch the whole time. We're all really pleased - Sammy is a lovely girl and very down to earth. I think they're made for each other."
The couple met at a Peter Kay gig two years ago and David proposed last September, on Sammy's 18th birthday.
