Beavers and Cubs from 1st Clayton le Moors All Saints and from St Paul’s Oswaldtwistle enjoyed a trip to Kaos High Wire Centre in Lytham.

The children tested their head for heights by climbing the high wire assault course, crossing wobbly ropes and bridges and taking leaps of faith at Kaos.

They also raced against each other to see who could climb up the climbing trees fastest, before abseiling back down them. The trip to Lytham was then followed by a visit to the beach at St Anne’s on Sea.

Clayton leader Clair Rothwell said: “We then moved further up the coast to St Anne’s where the Beavers and Cubs descended en masse onto the beach.

“They made sand castles and dug out a big hole in the sand, before lighting a campfire and toasting marshmallows. A fantastic day out was enjoyed by all.”
