  • Christopher Baker, 40, of Parkhills Road, Bury, pleaded guilty to possessing cannabis in Oswaldtwistle. He was given a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £85 costs.
  • Brian Balmer, 59, of Pilot Street, Accrington, pleaded guilty to drink driving. He was fined £110, ordered to pay £85 costs and a £150 criminal courts charge and disqualified from driving for 12 months, reduced by 13 weeks if he completes a course approved by the Secretary of State.
  • Lesley Anne Cassidy, 54, of Nuttall Street, Accrington, pleaded guilty to shoplifting and failing to comply with the requirements of a community order. She was given a new 12-month community order with a nine-month drug rehabilitation requirement, a 10-day rehabilitation activity requirement, fined £10 and ordered to pay a £150 criminal courts charge.
  • Gareth James Thomas Haworth, 29, of Rutland Close, Clayton-le-Moors, pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly in a public place. He was fined £35, ordered to pay £85 costs and a £150 criminal courts charge.
  • Nathan James Walker, 24, of Horne Street, Accrington, pleaded guilty to theft. He was given an eight-week jail term, suspended for 12 months, and ordered to pay £300 compensation, £85 costs and a £180 criminal courts charge.
  • Clair Michelle Jane King, 41, of Rhyddings Street, Oswaldtwistle, pleaded guilty to two counts of speeding. She was fined £120, ordered to pay £85 costs and given three points on her driving licence.
  • Mark William Rowland, 29, of Hill Street, Baxenden, pleaded guilty to criminal damage and producing cannabis. He was given a 12-month community order with a 20-day rehabilitation activity requirement, fined £240 and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £150 criminal courts charge.
  • Charlene Marie George, 27, of Rawson Avenue, Accrington, pleaded guilty to two counts of using threatening or abusive words or disorderly behaviour, two counts of criminal damage, four counts of theft and one of attempted theft. She was given a 12-month conditional discharge.
  • Mary Louise Smith, 38, of Meadow Street, Great Harwood, was found guilty in her absence of failing to give information relating to the identification of a driver to police. She was fined £600, ordered to pay £600 costs and disqualified from driving for six months.
  • Samantha Ainsworth, 24, of Walter Street, Oswaldtwistle, was found guilty in her absence of using a television without a licence. She was fined £55 and ordered to pay £120 costs.
  • Jordan Bird, 21, of Robert Street, Accrington, was found guilty in his absence of using a television without a licence. He was fined £200 and ordered to pay £120 costs.
  • Sandra Birtwistle, 49, of Patterdale Avenue, Oswaldtwistle, was found guilty in her absence of using a television without a licence. She was fined £200 and ordered to pay £120 costs.
  • Jason Devereux, 37, of St Huberts Road, Great Harwood, was found guilty in his absence of using a television without a licence. He was fined £200 and ordered to pay £120 costs. Ryan Eastham, 20, of Emma Street, Accrington, was found guilty in his absence of using a television without a licence. He was fined £200 and ordered to pay £120 costs.
  • Stacey Goodill, 25, of Elizabeth Street, Accrington, was found guilty in her absence of using a television without a licence. She was fined £55 and ordered to pay £120 costs.
  • Wayne Michael Nix, 42, of Spring Hill Road, Accrington, was found guilty in his absence of using a television without a licence. He was fined £200 and must pay £120 costs.
  • Ian Smith, 51, of Lancaster Drive, Clayton-le-Moors, was found guilty in his absence of using a television without a licence. He was fined £200 and ordered to pay £120 costs.
  • Tariq Hussain, 23, of Garbutt Street, Accrington, pleaded guilty to failing to comply with the requirements of a community order. His order was varied to include an extra 210’ hours unpaid work.
  • Christopher Delahunty, 40, of James Street, Great Harwood, pleaded guilty to two counts of breaching a restraining order. He was given an 18-month conditional discharge order and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £180 criminal courts charge.

  • Stephen Boys, 52, of Winster Court, Clayton-le-Moors, was found guilty of assaulting a police officer in the execution of his duty. He was given an 18-month community order with 240 hours’ unpaid work, ordered to pay £300 compensation, £300 costs and a £520 criminal courts charge.
  • Samantha Leanne Entwistle, 33, of Savoy Street, Accrington, pleaded guilty to shoplifting. She was fined £70, ordered to pay £85 costs and a £180 criminal courts charge.
