WORKSHOPS will be held a week before the Hyndburn Mela to give children chance to make masks, banners and other arty activities.
The free sessions, organised by Hyndburn Mela and Community Festival, will be held at Oswaldtwistle Civic Theatre between 10am and 3pm.
On Monday (18 August) and Thursday (21 August) there are two arty days where people of all ages can join in mask making, banner making and other arty activities.
There will also be an introduction to street dance on the same days to teach youngsters aged 12 to 17 the basics of street dance.
The workshops are funded by Arts Council England, North West and Lancashire County Council.
On Saturday 23 August, the street dancers will be performing in Accrington Town Centre between 1pm and 2pm.
On Sunday 24 August, at the Mela itself, there will be further workshops and activities in mask making, banner making, flag making, puppetry, face painting, henna painting, aromatherapy, beaded bracelets and much more at Hyndburn Sports Centre between 12.30pm and 7pm.
