IT’S almost 25 years since Hyndburn welcomed one of its most famous visitors ever.

Everyone fell under the spell of a radiant Princess Diana when she opened the new Joseph Arnold’s greeting cards factory in Church.

Crowds lined the streets in the pouring rain to give her a right royal welcome and a lucky few managed to exchange a few words with the People’s Princess, who looked stunning in a summery red and white polka dot dress and matching red jacket with a white wide-brimmed hat.

It was a day many will never forget – and we are planning a special feature on 30 May to mark the anniversary of the great occasion.

If you were there and have a memory of the day, or a photograph, we would love to receive them.
