An elderly woman was taking to hospital for precautionary check-ups after a fire broke out in her kitchen.
Firefighters from Hyndburn and Rawtenstall were called to her home on Manchester Road in Baxenden after the blaze broke out at around 8.20pm on Wednesday, June 25.
The kitchen was severely damaged by the fire and the ground floor was heavily smoke logged.
The pensioner was taken to hospital after inhaling the smoke.
