Police said the incident happened after a Subaru Impreza collided with the side of Halfords Autocentre on Milnshaw Lane in Accrington.
Emergency services and the North West Air Ambulance were called to the scene at around 4.30pm on Sunday, October 19.
The driver, a 30-year-old man, was taken to Manchester Royal Infirmary with a head injury.
A child suffered a broken leg and was airlifted to Manchester Children's Hospital.
Two other youngsters were also taken to Royal Blackburn Hospital with minor head and leg injuries.
The road was closed off for more than an hour to allow the road to be cleared and investigation work to be carried out.
