Four schools in Hyndburn have confirmed they will close for strike action next week over pension cuts.



Accrington Huncoat Primary School, Oswaldtwistle Hippings Methodist Primary School and Baxenden St John's CofE Primary School will all take part in a day of industrial action on Wednesday, November 30.



Accrington Academy will close to students from years seven to 11. Pupils in year 12 and 13 will be able to attend the Academy to complete independent study.



Simonstone St Peter's CofE Primary School will close to pupils in classes one and two however the rest of the school will be open.



The action is is being taken by over proposed cuts to public sector pensions and is the second walk-out this year over the changes.
