CHEEKY girls who bravely posed for a saucy calendar proved they are hot dates after auctioning a one-off copy for charity.

A dozen girls, all regulars at the Rishton Arms, agreed to strip for the camera after being inspired by the smash-hit film Calendar Girls.

And they were delighted with the results when the calendar was snapped up for a whopping £350 by Matthew Gainford.

The stunt was in memory of fellow pub regular Simon Catlow, 24, who died of leukaemia last September.

Organiser Siobhan Cooper said: "We came up with several ideas for the calendar, but in the end we decided that each page would represent each girl's personality. One of them is a real rock chick so we had her pictured with a guitar and bottles of wine. Another girl Simon used to say lived in her own little bubble, so her picture was covered with bubbles."

A charity day at the pub was also a huge success, raising a huge £6,000.

Mark Burrows, another organiser, said: "The event was fantastic and we raised more money for Christie's Hospital than we could ever have dreamed of.

"Simon was a very nice guy who did a lot for Christie's while he was being treated there so we just wanted to do something to raise money for such a good cause."
