Cases heard at Blackburn Magistrates Court:

Lee Paul Brown, 39, of Nuttall Street, Accrington, pleaded guilty to two counts of shoplifting while subject to a suspended sentence order and breaking a bail condition. He was jailed for a total of 148 days.

Alison Booth, 52, of Hope Street, Accrington, pleaded guilty to two counts of shoplifting and while subject to a conditional discharge order. She was given a six-month community order with a 10-day rehabilitation activity requirement and fined £5.

John Sultana, 37, of Wittlewood Drive, Accrington, was found guilty after a trial of assault by beating. He was given a 12-month community order with 140 hours’ unpaid work, a two-year restraining order and ordered to pay £100 compensation and £650 costs.

David Michael Spain, 34, of Stanley Street, Oswaldtwistle, pleaded guilty to breaching the peace. He was bound over in the sum of £100 for 12 months to keep the peace.

James Anthony Bibby, 30, of Oswald Close, Knuzden, pleaded guilty to resisting a police

officer in the execution of his duty. He was given a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £85 costs.

Natasha Sagar, 27, of Avenue Parade, Accrington, was found guilty in her absence of using a television without a licence. She was fined £220 and

ordered to pay £120 costs.

Steven David Kendal, 46, of James Street, Great Harwood, pleaded guilty to two counts of assault by beating. He was given a 12-month community order with 100 hours’ unpaid work, a 12-month restraining order and ordered to pay £85 costs.

Julian Slaney, 36, of Wesley Street, Oswaldtwistle, pleaded guilty to possessing cannabis and criminal damage while subject to a suspended sentence order. He was given a 12-month community order with 40 hours’ unpaid work and ordered to pay £80 compensation and £85 costs.

David John Shapcott, 37, of Whalley Road, Clayton-le-Moors, pleaded guilty to two counts of shoplifting. He was fined £160 and ordered to pay £85 costs.

Alexandra Jade Gregson, 26, of Springfield Road, Great Harwood, pleaded guilty to failing to provide a specimen of breath when required as part of an investigation, using a car without insurance, driving without a licence, driving without due care and attention, resisting a police officer in the execution of his duty and using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour to a police officer. She was given an 18-month community order with a 35-day rehabilitation activity requirement, fined £200, ordered to pay £85 costs and disqualified from driving for 18 months, reduced by 18 weeks if she completes a course approved by the Secretary of State.

Daniel William Ian Storey, 32, of Spring Street, Accrington, pleaded guilty to producing cannabis. He was given a four-month jail sentence, suspended for 18 months, with a supervision requirement and a 30-day rehabilitation activity requirement and ordered to pay £85 costs.

Michael Bray, 23, of Princess Street, Accrington, pleaded guilty to two counts of breaching a restraining order, one count of using threatening or abusive words or behaviour or disorderly behaviour to a police officer and the offence was racially aggravated, while subject to a conditional discharge order. He was given a 12-week jail sentence, suspended for 18 months with a supervision requirement, a 12 week curfew, a 40-day rehabilitation activity requirement and he was ordered to pay £50 compensation.

Sarah Carr, 30, of Lancaster Avenue, Accrington, was found guilty in her absence of using a television without a licence. She was fined £220 and ordered to pay £120 costs.

Thomas Charleston, 25, of Victoria Street, Rishton, was found guilty in his absence of using a television without a licence. He was fined £220 and ordered to pay £120 costs.

Angela Connolly, 49, of Dunnyshop Avenue, Accrington, was found guilty in her absence of using a television without a licence. She was fined £60 and ordered to pay £120 costs.

Lynn Cronin, 50, of Canal Street, Church, was found guilty in her absence of using a television without a licence. She was fined £220 and ordered to pay £120 costs.

Daniella Frankel, 24, of Within Grove, Huncoat, was found guilty in her absence of using a television without a licence. She was fined £220 and ordered to pay £120 costs.

Jade Gregson, 27, of Springfield Road, Great Harwood, was found guilty in her absence of using a television without a licence. She was fined £220 and ordered to pay £120 costs.

Sophie Hill, 22, of School Street, Rishton, was found guilty in her absence of using a television without a licence. She was fined £220 and ordered to pay £120 costs.

William Hogg, 31, of Talbot Street, Rishton, was found guilty in his absence of using a television without a licence. He was fined £220 and ordered to pay £120 costs.

Laura Howarth, 29, of Chapel Street, Rishton, pleaded guilty to using a television without a licence. She was fined £60 and ordered to pay £120 costs.

Stephanie Knight, 56, of Barnes Street, Clayton-le-Moors, was found guilty in her absence of using a television without a licence. She was fined

£90 and ordered to pay £120 costs.

John Milliken, 51, of Derby Street, Accrington, was found guilty in his absence of using a television without a licence. He was fined £220 and ordered to pay £160 costs.

Shaun Colin Anthony Molineux, 32, of Orange Street, Accrington, was found guilty in his absence of using a television without a licence. He was fined £60 and ordered to pay £120 costs.

Keely Walmsley, 30, of Edgar Street, Huncoat, was found guilty in her absence of using a television without a licence. She was fined £220 and ordered to pay £120 costs.

Andrea Warburton, 37, of Norfolk Grove, Church, was found guilty in her absence of using a television without a licence. She was fined £220 and ordered to pay £120 costs.

Jamie Luke King, 23, of Brunswick Terrace, Accrington, was found guilty in his absence of travelling on a railway without paying the fare.

He was fined £220, ordered to pay £3.20 compensation and £150 costs.

George Sidwell, 21, of Aspen Fold, Oswaldtwistle, pleaded guilty to travelling on a railway without paying the fare. He was fined £145, ordered to pay £5.60 compensation and £150 costs.

William Jon Dobson, 25, of Higher Heys, Oswaldtwistle, pleaded guilty to failing to comply with the requirements of a community order. His

order was varied to include an extra 10-week curfew requirement.

Tariq Hussain, 23, of Garbett Street, Accrington, pleaded guilty to failing to comply with the requirements of a community order. His order was varied to include an extra 30 hours’ unpaid work and he was ordered to pay £50 costs.

Mohammed Shafiq, 37, of Higher Antley Street, Accrington, was found guilty of using a car without insurance. He was fined a total of

£200, ordered to pay £120 costs and given six points on his driving licence.

Jason Clitheroe, 46, of Atlas Street, Claytonle- Moors, pleaded guilty to drink driving. He was fined £110, ordered to pay £85 costs and disqualified from driving for 12 months, reduced by 13 weeks if he completes a course approved by the Secretary of State.
